The following is a list of all the major large lakes and reservoirs within a 100-mile radius of Six Flags Over Texas, halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth. The combined sizes of all these reservoirs would certainly be as large as the Great Salt Lake. All of us are quite familiar with the enormous sizes of some of these lakes. In addition to these 32 major lakes and reservoirs, there are literally thousands of smaller lakes and ponds in this 18-county area. Some of these reservoirs cover land in two or more counties. They are listed here by the county in which the dam is located.
