In 2000, this Genealogical Society and the Russell family signed a contract, allowing them to publish 1,000 copies of the combined History of Titus County, Volumes I and II, by G. Traylor Russell. This new edition was run through a spell-checker and contains a lengthy index, which did not accompany the original publications in the 1960s. This reprint sells for $45, and all proceeds go to support the Genealogical Society.

If you are ever visiting Mt. Vernon's historic Courthouse Square, you should stop by the Genealogical Society's friendly and informative office and bookstore on the south side of the square. They are open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 AM until 4 PM.
