White Oak Creek (West)

The above two photos were taken along NW 46 between FM 1402 and FM 2152. The top one is looking west along this county road, and the second shows a herd of cattle north of the road. There were several longhorn steers in this herd, one of which can be seen in the center of the photo.

This is a view of White Oak Creek looking west from the bridge on FM 2152.

Here are two "identical" shots of White Oak Creek looking east from the bridge over FM 2152. The Sun came out from the clouds in the lower photo. This demonstrates quite clearly the difference that lighting can make for a photograph. I liked them both, so I uploaded both of them for comparison; but I tend to prefer the top one. I have been both an amateur and professional photographer for almost 40 years. I much prefer using Adobe Photoshop for digital photos than I ever did with using a darkroom, even though when I had a professional photo studio in Mount Pleasant 20 years ago, I had state-of-the-art darkroom equipment. Digital photography is terrific! Often digital photographs look more like paintings than traditional photographs.

This is a view of the White Oak Creek bank looking north from the west side of the bridge on FM 2152.

This low-lying area south (here) and west (just above) would be completely flooded by the Marvin Nichols II Reservoir. And even if they were to build a causeway on FM 1402 to link Mount Pleasant to Sugar Hill, it is very unlikely that they would also build a causeway over this little-used Green Hill Road. Where's the money?!
