Belcher & Maple Springs
The photos in this gallery were
taken along Titus County Roads NW 52 and NW 35, north of Highway
71, in the vicinity of the historical Belcher and Maple Springs
Communities, only a mile or two south of Sulphur River. Much of
this area would be flooded by the "potential" Marvin
Nichols I Reservoir, and the historic Belcher Cemetery would certainly
have to be moved to higher ground -- which would be quite offensive
to a number of families living in the Talco and Sugar Hill areas.
